Seattle Zero Waste was created by passionate zero wasters with the goal of bringing like-minded people together. Working as a zero waste community, we can share sustainability tips and tricks, expand our ideas for reducing waste, and have a stronger voice as we vote with our dollar. We started as a group of four people getting together to talk about how to live with less waste and take care of the environment. Since the initial gathering in 2016, the group has grown to 1500+ followers on Instagram, a 4800+ member Facebook group, and 30+ people who meet every month in Seattle to share ideas and have fun! Stephanie Wall, Chief of Staff & Co-Founder

Stephanie discovered the zero waste lifestyle over a decade ago when she ran across the blog Zero Waste Home by Bea Johnson. With an appreciation for the benefits and beauty of this lifestyle, she likes sharing ways to reduce waste with others. She enjoys implementing zero waste practices in daily life alongside her husband and two children.

Stacy Strickland (She/Her), Financial Director & Co-Founder

Stacy dove into the zero waste lifestyle after watching a documentary about trash, mainly to protect our beloved PNW mountains, waterways and green spaces. She loves teaching others how to buy in bulk and make sustainable swaps for single use or plastic items.

Karin Bloomquist (She/Her), Brand and Communications Manager

Karin is a sustainability marketer focused on environmental and behavior change initiatives. Her favorite way to reduce waste is avoiding single-use plastics as much as possible with Stasher bags and supporting products that are reusable or sustainably packaged only.
